Description of Product HEXSHXR1

Helix Heavy Duty Solid Axle Performance Shock Relocation Kit Brackets & Hardware

Our Heavy-Duty Solid Axle Performance Shock Relocation Kit modifies your suspension to improve clearance, articulation, and shock travel. These kits primarily feature upper and lower brackets designed to be welded or bolted onto the axle housing and chassis.

Shocks: 1928–1948 Ford shocks are built the right way! Strong, dependable, and made to last. They’re precision engineered to outwork and outlast those so-called “name brand” shocks, giving your early Ford a smoother ride and better control where it counts.Eye to Eye Open :: 14.33in (364mm)

Eye to Eye Close :: 9.37in (238mm)

Travel :: 4.96in (125.9mm)

Body Diameter :: 1.575in (40 mm)

Upper Hole I.D. :: 0.433in (11 mm)

Lower Hole I.D. :: 0.63in (16 mm)These Helix shocks run a smart valving setup with a beefy 1-3/4" reserve tube that keeps the oil moving like it should. Rides smooth and comfortable cruising down the road, but when you lean on it a little, the shocks firm up and keep things tight. That extra reserve chamber lets the shock stiffen up when the road, speed, or conditions demand it.

Brackets/Tabs: Usually made of 1/4 inch thick laser-cut steel featuring a double-shear design for heavy-duty reinforcement.

Mounting Bolts: 1/2 inch x 3 inch Grade 5 or Grade 8 hex head bolts (metric equivalents14mm x 80mm) are also common for late-model trucks).

Nuts: Serrated flange locknuts or Stover-style prevailing torque locknuts.

Washers: Multiple standard and heavy-duty flat washers to evenly distribute load and prevent damage to polyurethane bushings.

Sleeves/Inserts: Pressed-in metal sleeves (typically reducing from a 5/8 inch to 1/2 inch inside diameter) to adapt shock eyelets to specific bolt sizes

Bottom line: old-school looks, modern performance, and a ride that feels rightwhether you’re putting miles on it or putting your foot in it.
