Helix Uses the Latest in CAD/CAM Technology to Design the 1955-1957 GM 2 Inch Drop Tri-Five Spindle, Ensuring a Long-Life and Smooth Operation. Helix spindles are one piece drop-forged 4140 steel. Be aware of unsafe, cheap castings that are prone to snapping off, creating a deadly situation in a moving vehicle.
